PDMTUBAN.COM-Central Board of Muhammadiyah has determined through Decree Number 1/MLM/I.0/E/2024 that Eid al-Adha 1445 AH falls on Monday, June 17, 2024. This decision is based on the calculation of the real sighting of the crescent moon, which indicates that 1 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH falls on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Therefore, the Day of Arafah or 9 Dhu al-Hijjah falls on Sunday, June 16, 2024, followed by Eid al-Adha the next day.
The method of the real sighting of the crescent moon used by Muhammadiyah involves calculating the position of the moon at sunset. On the 29th of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 AH, the moon was below the horizon, leading to the completion of the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah to 30 days. Thus, the age of the Dhu al-Qi’dah 1445 H month is completed to 30 days, determining that 1 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH falls on Saturday, June 8, 2024, the Day of Arafah on Saturday, June 16, 2024, and Eid al-Adha on Monday, June 17, 2024.
Therefore, the Muhammadiyah Local Board (PDM) of Tuban has designated 49 locations for the Eid al-Adha prayer in 1445 AH, which falls on June 17, 2024.
“There are 49 points from 16 Districts for the Eid al-Adha prayer next Monday in Tuban Regency. Among them, the Palang District has the most, with 13 points,” said the Chairman of PDM Tuban, Masrukhin, on Friday (06/14/2024).
The designation of these locations aims to facilitate Muhammadiyah congregants in choosing their desired prayer location.
“With the provision of location information accessible on social media or the official website of PDM Tuban, congregants will not be confused in determining the prayer location for Eid,” he explained.
Masrukhin hopes that the implementation of the Eid al-Adha prayer in 1445 AH in Tuban Regency will proceed smoothly and devoutly.
“May the Eid al-Adha prayer run smoothly, and the sacrificial ritual bring goodness and benefits to others on the day of Eid al-Adha,” he expressed his hope.
